About Me

 I am a lifelong Republican and have ties to the Village of Florida as well as the Village of Goshen for approximately forty years.  I understand what today’s working families’ struggles are and know what it takes to be selfless.  I raised my daughter as a single father from the time she was four until she was in high school, at which time I met my wife.  As a proud grandfather, I want to ensure our community will continue to be safe, healthy, and successful, to make sure our children and grandchildren can grow and prosper for many generations to come.

One of the primary reasons I’m seeking the position of legislator is my desire to offer a commonsense approach to Legislature from someone that is a blue-collar worker and understands our community’s diverse needs. I’ve worked as the head technician and  welder/fabricator for Showalter’s Equipment in Goshen for more than twenty years.  In addition, I serve on the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Warwick and work part time for the Florida Fire District as truck custodian and building and grounds maintenance.  Previous places that I’ve worked include Lloyd’s supermarket, Lycian Stage Lighting, and Kolk’s Dairy Farm.  These jobs have helped me to grow and become who I am today, as well as foster an appreciation for our farming community.

I am an advocate for our veterans, first responders, and senior citizens.  I am passionate about serving my community and have volunteered for the Town of Warwick Republican Committee for over ten years.  I am a patriot member of a 501(c)(3) organization, the Nam Knights of America Motorcycle Club, Orange County Chapter, and served as Treasurer for thirteen years; our headquarters are in Goshen.

Leadership is a crucial quality for any legislator, and I believe my strong leadership skills make me an ideal candidate for this position. I pride myself on being honest, humble, relatable, trustworthy, dedicated, and hard-working.  I will continue to ensure that every voice is heard and considered in the decision-making process. 

I believe that legislators must be open and honest with their constituents, providing clear communication and being responsive to their needs and concerns. I am committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards and ensuring that my actions as a legislator reflect the values and priorities of the people I represent.
